Stupid People with Stupid Statements

For God sake, I damn hate IPDA. Today as usual there was a meeting about BIG and TESL Final Gathering.

Nothing was good but the worst is about the money which I have to spend on both events which are RM50 for BIG and RM40 for the gathering. As I have to pay for the stupid BIG, I cant afford to pay the gathering thus I decide on not going. Yes. I am not going because my family and I are having terrible financial crisis.

Inconsiderate TESLians said something such as:
'Takkan xde duit kot. Elaun semua org dapat sama kot'
'Kat sini ada anti-social ke?!'

Stupid people make stupid statements. Let me explain my situation to lucky TESLians who have lots of money to spend.

My family is having financial crisis for more than a year now. We take out a lot of our saving to support our family expenses. I spend my allowance for my family and use my saving to support my expenses. Futher, I use my allowance to pay for my conference fees in which I think are far more important than a gathering. More, for you, RM40 ringgit for dinner is nothing but in my situation, it is a lot. After all, there's no use explaining my situation to those who do not have enough ability to think about others.

Now, saya dianiaya thus can I pray to God that one day you be in my shoe and experience what I experience?

Use Malay (L1) instead of English (L2) in English Lessons?

The debate on the use of L1 in L2 lessons has been going on since forever. Different scholars come out with different theories and hypotheses yet no one theory or hypothesis has become the most significant. After all, it all depends on the teaching context. The use of L1 has always been a contentious issue. Teachers have choices whether to: ban L1; minimise L1; or maximise L2. Again, it all depends on the context the teachers are in. It is best to also mention that even so, teachers who resort to the L1, despite their best intentions, often feel guilty for straying from L2 path (Cook, 2001).
