Ada benarnya

School has become a social problem; it is being attacked on all sides, and citizens and their governments sponsor unconventional experiments all over the world. They resort to unusual statistical devices in order to keep faith and save face. (Illich, 1972, p.49)

The Sure Thing (1985)

I read this; What the hell's wrong with being stupid once in awhile? Does everything you do always have to be sensible? Haven't you ever thrown waterballoons off a roof? When you were a little kid didn't you ever sprinkle Ivory flakes on the living room floor 'cause you wanted to make it snow in July? Didn't you ever get really shitfaced and maybe make a complete fool of yourself and still have an excellent time?   and I smile.

Bila anakanak kenit kita mulamula menunjukkan kehebatan dalam membaca. DOG Sweetie Pie: Mom, that says "dog". Cutie Mom: Oh! She's reading!!  McGuinness says that this is inappropriate. You should ask her what cues she was using and if she cant do this, then YOU should show her. Say something like this: Cutie Mom: That's right. How did you know that? Can you tell me what you see that makes you know it says "dog"? If she cant do this, prove to her by saying, Let's prove that it says "dog", shall we? The first letter is for the sound /d/, the next letter is for the sound /o/ [say /o/ not /oh/] and the last letter is for the sound /g/. Let's put tohether: /d/-/o/-/g/ - "dog". Aren't you a clever girl to work that out?

Do you

When I'm in tense, I know I can turn to no one. When life is really bad, I also know what I can turn to no one. No one really wants to hold me when I fall. I dont befriend with many people, Cause many times before, friends hurt a lot. And in recent years, I find out that, Many friends of his also hurt me a lot. Maybe, Just maybe, The word friend and me, Don't get along well. So, Do you mind being my enemy?

Loneliness and Love

Lonelinesss is an inevitable outcome of real love, but it is also a process through which new love becomes possible. Love which is genuine is its own thing. It's unique, incomparable, true only as itself. And because real love is unique, it's inescapably lonely. In the alive person, the rhytms of loneliness and love deepen and enrich human existence. The lonely experience gives a person back to himself, affirms his identity and enables him to take steps towards new life. The experience of love is the spark and energy of excitement abd joy; it is what makes friendship a lifetime value and what makes activity purposeful. A balance is essential. Exxageration of either loneliness or love leads to self-denial and despair. Life has no meaning without loneliness; loneliness becomes real only as a response to love. THE END Moustakas, C. E. (1972)

Portsmouth library new system memang mengagumkan. Especially as for now, you can retrieve your loan history since the first time you borrowed a book from the library. Wanna see mine? Of course you can ;) Ok. Let's do the calculation: 1 page = 10 books 34 pages = 340 books With me I got another 20 books. So,  340+20 = 360 books. To conclude:  From October 7, 2009 up to October 19, 2011 I've borrowed 360 books. Hahaha *gelak setan.

They are beautiful, aren't they? Ok. Know why I just love borrowing and buying books? Sometimes it's because of their wonderful chapters. Isn't this wonderful? Whoelse is dare enough to say things like this?

Why Children Can't Read

The book is an excellent book though I've taken weeks to finish reading it. When children failed to learn to read, instead of blaming the system - the structure of the classroom, the inadequate training of teachers, the woefully ineffective methods of instruction, too much uninformed political interference- educators blamed the child. Soon everyone began to believe that reading is a property of the child. If a child can't read then it is his fault. And if the child shows normal persistence and willingness to learn (neither lazy) and normal intelligence (nor stupid), then the child must have a brain disorder called 'dyslexia', a label applied to children who are so confused by their poor reading instruction that they can't overcome it without special help.  (McGuinness, 1998, p.122)

Please understand them.

Fourteen is sometimes the loneliest age for a child . He suddenly begins to question the important connections in his life- his family, friends, and the activities he thought represented his interests. He suddenly realize that his fantasies, daydreams, and ambitions are all games he has been playing and that have been played on him. He becomes aware that everything he considered real is not real anymore. He no longer knows the people he lives with or the places that have been important in hiss world; he doesn't know who he is anymore. The crisis of awakening to his aloneness and doubt is frightening, and so he withdraws deeper and deeper into himself to try to figure out what he can trust as being real, who he can trust, who he is. (Moustakas, 1972)

A cool dream

I dream of being someone like him:
I say those certain things to those particular people. People recreate the story by adding in some ajinamoto and secukup rasa making it be an extremely nice story. The result? Unbearable nasty story. Lesson of the day; I should shut my mouth up. If I do so, never dare to say that I am in an unbearable condition. Fuck off boleh?
