Bila anakanak kenit kita mulamula menunjukkan kehebatan dalam membaca.
Sweetie Pie: Mom, that says "dog".
Cutie Mom:Oh! She's reading!! McGuinness says that this is inappropriate. You should ask her what cues she was using and if she cant do this, then YOU should show her. Say something like this:
Cutie Mom: That's right. How did you know that? Can you tell me what you see that makes you know it says "dog"?
If she cant do this, prove to her by saying,
Let's prove that it says "dog", shall we? The first letter is for the sound /d/, the next letter is for the sound /o/ [say /o/ not /oh/] and the last letter is for the sound /g/. Let's put tohether: /d/-/o/-/g/ - "dog". Aren't you a clever girl to work that out?
