English Debate: The Basic Tips

Below are few basic tips to do well in English debates:
  1. Know your role;
  2. Do not introduce more than 3 arguments (one argument from the 1st speaker, two from the second);
  3. Do provide a lot of examples to support your argument.
  4. Accept at least 2 POIs (if you wish to decline POI, please do it in the best manner);
  5. Don't be text-dependent;
  6. Be extra careful with your pronunciation, language (don't make up words) and slip of tongue (ie: destructive and constructive are two different things);
  7. Never ever call the first speaker of the opposition Prime Minister.
Love,
An Adjudicator.
