Day In, Day Out

This morning I presented my study in the IPDA's first mini-conference. It was a great experience for me as it was my first time presenting my study. Just recently, I accidentally joined a so-called ceramah entitled: Mengembangkan Ilmu Watan Melalui Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi. As usual, the B.ED. TESL programme was not invited to join the ceramah as it is only meant for the DPLI (I say only meant for the DPLI because there wasn't any banner saying that there will be a ceramah). Why a big fuss when it was only a ceramah? For me it is a big fuss because one will not always have the opportunity to meet such a great person.The great man who was appointed as the presenter during the ceramah was Prof Dr Tengku Mohd Tengku Sembok. A teaching technique.

When I was in the UK, I was looking forward to the Curriculum Studies lesson. I was very interested with the subject thus I've started doing my reading since I was there. However, the reality is, the delivery of the lesson is very disappointing. As a student who really pays attention and has full interest with the lesson, I like to ask questions. Yet, the only answer I got was, 'that's what I want YOU to find out', and the most unpleasant comment made by my lecturers to me was, 'you need to do A LOT of readings'. Can you imagine? Lecturers, who are supposed to play role as the resources, are bold enough to give me that kind of answer and comment? I always wanted the Curriculum Studies to be my pot of rice (Yeah, it is 'wanted'. It's a past tense now).  I really dreamt of studying it till the end of my life, but they diminish all my dreams by their unthoughtful answer and comment. Thank you, lecturers. Praise to Allah SWT that I will be presenting my paper entitled, 'Investigating the impact of the Nintendo Wii Sport Resorts on the Handwriting of the Dyspraxia' in two different conferences. The first will take place in the teaching institution in which I am in, IPDA, and the second is in the USIM. I'm looking forward to meeting 'jaw-dropping' people there ;) Elicit ideas from critical thinkers. It sounds good to me!
